ABOUT ME

Thomas Woodward, Specialist Clinical Psychotherapist headshot

Hi there!  I'm Tom and I am a fully qualified Specialist Clinical Psychotherapist, accredited through the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP; registration number 1005981).  I am based in Kent, currently working in South West London in the NHS, but offering private therapy remotely throughout the UK.

I have been working and studying in the field of psychology for over 20 years, with the past 10 years of employment in the NHS.  I have devoted the entirety of my adult working life to helping others in various capacities, from the early years of my career as a carer, a support worker to clients with a range of complex physical and emotional needs, a rehabilitation assistant in a brain injury unit, numerous assistant psychologist roles both in the NHS and in the medico-legal sector, as well as roles as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and as a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

I regularly undertake BABCP-aligned professional training to ensure my therapeutic work remains evidence-based and clinically relevant.  Recent training has focused on the assessment and treatment of depressive- and anxiety disorders, trauma, perinatal mental health and eating disorders.

Below is a record of the qualifications that I hold and training courses I have completed to demonstrate my experience and competence in delivering effective, evidence-based treatment;
